So, every kid has his cuddle toys that help him sleep, or just make him actually want to get in the crib at nap time or for night time sleeping.

For Govan, these tend to be hard plastic or metal objects. He has switched allegiances a couple of times, but he's back to the original cuddle toy - a nice hard metal John Deere tractor. He's also employed a hard plastic elephant, replica yellow school bus and various plastic cars. We also recently gave him a matchbox dump truck, and that was the crib toy for a short while.

In other news, he's been boob-free for 3 weeks now. It started when Kelly went to Niagara for a 4-day course, and he wasn't too concerned about it when she came back. There's been a few tough days for him, and a couple of nights where he woke up early, but all in all, he seems quite ok with it.

Humourously, though, one evening a week ago while I was reading a book before bed time, Kelly came in the room and happened to sit down on the 'nursing chair'... and he immediately stood up and said 'drink? drink?', or more accurately, 'dwink? dwink?'. She quickly sat down on the floor with us and kept the story going. And the night continued as normal, but not without some laughing and looks between the parents!
