New House, New Room, New Furniture .. New ...
We are slowly, very slowly, moving in to the new house. Olympic hockey and other medal chases have seriously slowed down any unpacking.
Gov's Aunt Dianne came by and helped paint Gov's new room. He was a little sad to say good bye to the old house, and I don't think he really 'got' the idea of moving for a few days, but he's pretty happy with the new room. And he has adjusted to live in a house with a staircase quite well. He goes down in the morning (early in the morning!) by himself to get his morning "bottle full of milk", while Kelly and I listen for the sounds of a crash... so far, so good.
We have also invested in some new shelving to try to corral his toys better... might as well be herding cats. Shortly after Kelly had put it in to position, Gov easily discovered the climbing aspect. Maybe we should be filling up a box with slings and plaster ... on well, the carpet is cushy.
