Interesting Conversation
Just wanted to capture a snapshot from today
On the ride home, Gov fell asleep in the bike trailer... only minutes from home. Kelly managed to get him out of the trailer, and on to back deck where he fell asleep on some comfy mats and seemed to be down for the count.
We gave him some time to see if this was just a late nap or if he was done for the night.
He was done. Barely a budge from the kid I need to pick up every night off the carpet and put back in bed.
So, we decided to move him upstairs for the night. A somewhat difficult manoeuvre as you don't want to wake him and deal with a grumpy toddler until the true bed time hour approaches.
So, I managed to do that, having one arm under his head, and the other supporting his hips and torso, trying to keep him in the sleeping position as much as possible. Though, with legs dangling.
He barely moved.
Until we got to the creaky stairs to go up to his room.
At which point, his eyes opened up a crack, and he looked vaguely around and then at me
and asked
"Daddy, are you carrying me?"
I resisted the urge to tell him "No, you're floating all by yourself"
