First Leaf Game
Just realised that we didn't post about Govan's first leaf game.
We all went to the Leaf-Penguins game on the 13th, and it turned out great (except for the standard Leaf collapse and loss).
Kelly and I thought we'd be happy if Govsie made it through the first period, but we should have known that he'd already be a huge hockey fan! He lasted the whole game, and was totally interested in many things going on at the Air Canada Centre - the light shows, the crowd cheering, the railing in front of him, or just some random movement in the corner of the rink :)
Hilarity ensued whenever the Leafs scored as we'd stand him up and he'd bounce up and down while everyone was cheering. He was quite a hit with the folks around us - the lady next to us was paying more attention to him then the actual hockey being played on the ice!
Of course, the magic cheerios helped immensely and finding a "quiet" spot in a corner of the Ice Box bar in between for a quick nurse helped as well.
He was getting a little antsy by the end, and made a small whimper at the end of the game (and he wasn't the only one).
