Found an old photo from someone else's camera. This tanker was moored in the ocean, and was picked up by the tsunami waves and dropped where you see it today. It's still there today, and it's become a tourist attraction - complete with "not-to-scale" replica boats on pillars at the end of the road (click through), a parking "attendant", and general tourism necessities :)

If you look close, you can see that the boat was just dropped in amongst those houses - it's not like it was pushed through a bunch of houses...it actually floated over top of the houses, and then got stuck when the water receded!

Amazing.
