Added a bunch more photos, starting with the one here. Julie takes her youngest daughter, Lily, to different drop-in playgroups in Accra a few times a week. We brought Govan along to one, and he had a blast.
Kids from around 6-8 months to over 2 years old were there, and it was quite funny to watch the interaction (or non-interaction of the kids). He's learned a few tricks already with Lily around - like showing off a toy means someone will take it :)
Also interesting to see how 10 and 11 month olds are really only starting to acknowledge other kids - mostly they play as if the other person isn't there.
We also took a trip to the Volta Dam region (largest man-made lake in the world as measured by surface area). Interesting trip, but really we wanted to peer over the edge, and the only way to do that was to take a tour - the tour was informative, but with 3 kids around ... we just wanted to peer over the edge :)
Govan has come a long way since being here - he's walking fairly confidently, but still a but drunkenly (Kelly assures us this has nothing to do with the Star beer). He's learning to play with others, and protect things he doesn't want to share :) He'll be sorely disappointed when we get back home to the condo and no kids running around all day!
We've only got a week and a half left - and have yet to see much of Accra. Hopefully, we'll get it in gear soon!
